The OAO staff team is built around a group of proven leaders in advocacy, research, community building and optometry. The diverse nature of the team ensures that we understand not only the needs of the optometric community but are also able to work as relationship builders between member optometrists and the communities they serve.
Chief Executive Officer - Cam Jackson (Ext. 221)
Cam Jackson is the Executive Director of the Association. Cam brings an in-depth knowledge of government strategy, having served for eight years in the Mike Harris cabinet as Minister of Long Term Care, Citizenship and Immigration, and Seniors. Cam is well known for his work on behalf of the profession during his 22 year career at Queen's Park. His public service has also included being Mayor of Burlington and a public school trustee. We are committed to advancing our professional objectives for the the best possible patient care with Cam's leadership.
