Physicians and Nurses
Ontario's community-based optometrists are trained to diagnose diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system, including ocular complications of systemic disease. They work with primary health care team members to manage eye disease, provide rehabilitative treatment and arrange timely referrals to ophthalmologists.
