Dr. Trenton Cleghern

Dr. Trenton Cleghern specializes in the management of complex eye diseases, with special interests in anterior segment, uveitis, and neuro-ophthalmic conditions. Dr. Cleghern is a consultative optometrist at VisionAmerica of Birmingham, Alabama, a referral center, and is also a clinical professor at the University of Alabama School Of Optometry. Dr. Cleghern completed his undergraduate education at Tennessee Tech University. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. After optometry school, Dr. Cleghern completed a residency in ocular disease at VisionAmerica of Birmingham. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.







Dr. Jason E. Compton

Dr. Jason E. Compton graduated from the SUNY State College of Optometry and completed his residency at the Wilmington Delaware VA Medical Center. Dr. Compton owns a private practice 'Compton Eye Associates' in the New York City area. Dr. Compton serves as Assistant Adjunct Faculty for the SUNY State College of Optometry. Dr. Compton is a council member of the American Optometric Association’s Contact Lens and Cornea Section and a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.  Dr. Compton is the President/Founder of TheRightContact.com, a contact lens resource used by eye care professionals worldwide.  





Dr. Jay M. Haynie

Dr. Jay M. Haynie graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1992 and completed a residency at the American Lake Veterans Hospital in 1993. He served as the Executive Clinical Director of Retina and Macula Specialists until 2018 after which time he joined Sound Retina in Tacoma Washington. He is an adjunct clinical professor at Pacific University College of Optometry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Optometric Retina Society. He is a sponsor of a 4th year internship for Optometry students in his private practice. He has been a clinical investigator and continues to be involved in clinical studies, both as a principle and sub-investigator.  He is a published author and has become a nationally recognized speaker on advances in technology and the management of retinal disease.







Dr. Jeffrey Sonsino

Jeffrey Sonsino, O.D., FAAO, is a partner in a high-end specialty contact lens and anterior segment practice in Nashville, Tennessee.  For over 12 years, he was on the faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Eye Institute. Dr. Sonsino is a Diplomate in the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), past-chairman of the Contact Lens and Cornea Section of the American Optometric Association (AOA), executive board member of the Healthcare Alliance for Patient Safety, a fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society, board certified by the American Board of Optometry (ABO), past president of the Middle Tennessee Optometric Association, the 2017 Gas Permeable Lens Institute (GPLI) practitioner of the year, the 2017 AOA’s Advocate of the Year, and the 2018 Optometrist of the Year awardee by the Tennessee Optometric Association.
